Silver Gate Farms was established by the O'Leary family in 1990. The O'Leary family
legacy in horse training began in the early 1900s with Connie's grandfather, who specialized in rehabilitating difficult farm horses and great
uncle who was a jockey in the 1890's.
Throughout the 1970s, the O'Leary's trained and rehabilitated horses for resale. By the 1980s they had turned their attention to the horse-show
industry, competing on the open and breed circuits. Their list of champions includes the 1980 state champion Green Working Hunter, Color Me Loud,
and 1985 National Champion Hunter Hack and Green Working Hunter, Secret Ingredient.

The product of two decades of planning, Silver Gate Farms is a family-based business. It fosters a family
atmosphere and deep camaraderie among its students. The facility focuses on training horses and riders to be competitive in the disciplines of
jumping and dressage.
